The HDS 8/20 D hot water high-pressure cleaner has a powerful diesel engine with electro start, a robust and durable crankshaft pump and, last but not least, very efficient burner technology. These provide excellent cleaning results even in more difficult conditions, such as areas where there is no power supply. Ideal for applications in the construction sector, with the municipal authorities or for building service contractors, the machine provides an hourly water volume of 800 litres and 200 bar of working pressure when removing stubborn dirt. An integrated 30-litre fuel tank allows the pressure cleaner to be used for long periods of time. Tried-and-tested safety technology, comprising a thermo and safety valve, water filter, exhaust temperature monitoring and Soft Damping System (SDS), reliably protects all important components, while a robust tubular steel frame protects the machine against external damage. Puncture-proof tyres, a steering roller/castor with a parking brake, ergonomic push handles and a user-friendly single-button selector switch are also included in the standard equipment. Accessories, such as a high-pressure hose and lance, can be effortlessly stored directly on the machine.

The economical eco!efficiency mode and new, extremely effective boiler insulation guarantee the impressively high energy efficiency of our innovative, electrically heated Karcher HDS E 8/16-4 M hot water high-pressure cleaner.

The insulation reduces power consumption in stand-by mode by at least 40%.
While the eco!efficiency mode limits the water temperature to 60°C when the maximum work temperature of 85°C is not absolutely necessary (for example, for dissolving greasy or oily substances).
With a heating output of 12 kW thanks to Servo Control and an integrated high-speed heating chamber, the machine is also capable of delivering a constant temperature of 45°C in continuous operation when required.
The extensive equipment package is rounded off with the new EASY!Force high-pressure gun, which makes use of the recoil force of the high-pressure jet to reduce the holding force for the operator to zero, as well as the EASY!Lock quick-release fasteners, which make set-up and dismantling five times faster than with conventional screw connections.

Thanks to the new EASY!Lock quick-release fasteners, the set-up and dismantling of our HDS E 8/16-4 M hot water high-pressure cleaner can be done in no time – five times faster than with conventional screw connections – though they are just as durable and robust. These are attributes which also apply to the electrically heated machine as a whole, a machine that impresses with its many other performance characteristics and outstanding energy efficiency. With a heating output of 24 kW, it easily achieves a work temperature of up to 85°C, which is especially helpful when removing greasy and oily substances. When necessary, the water temperature can be maintained at a constant 70°C in continuous operation thanks to Servo Control. Otherwise, the eco!efficiency mode ensures very economical operation at 60°C. In stand-by, the new highly-effective boiler insulation reduces power consumption by around 40%. Last but not least, the high-pressure cleaner impresses with the new EASY!Force high-pressure gun, which makes use of the recoil force of the high-pressure jet to reduce the holding force for the operator to zero.
